This past year, SHSE attended the SHPE 2007 Conference in Philadelphia. We took 73 students to the east coast where we ended up winning National Outstanding Large Chapter of the Year, Regional Outstanding Chapter of the Year, and first place in the National Academic Olympiad. Now, we are inviting you guys to attend this year’s SHPE 2008.

Since this year’s SHPE Conference will be in our Region II, so we should show our support! Let’s see if we can take 100 members down to Phoenix!

Graduating seniors! If you are interested in attending grad school, you can attend SHPE2008 for free if you sign up for the GRE/GRAD Lab. For more information on this, contact:

The National Academic Olympiad is a two-night competition, challenging a team of students in multiple fields of engineering studies. The first night will consist of a multiple choice written exam, while the second night features a final competition game show open to all attendees. Last year, we ended up winning first place nationwide. If you are interested in participating in this event, please reply to this e-mail or send an e-mail to exvp@calpolyshse.org
