Regional Leadership Development Conference (RLDC) 2008

RLDC is an event filled with leadership and networking presentations; it has become one of the most essential regional events hosted by a local student SHPE chapter.

The purpose of the Regional Leadership Development Conference (RLDC) is to enhance the relationships and communication among regional student chapters, professional chapters, and the regional board as well as to encourage leadership development.

RLDC will incorporate traditional presentations expected at conferences with an inclusive and interactive format. Past years’ themes have focused on progressing forward and expanding as an organization. There have been discussions and workshops on Hispanic issues within the fields of engineering, math, and science as well as promoting the success of each of our respective chapters.

SHPE has focused on transitioning young engineering students into professionals who can produce value within their specific field. These past conferences have been a mere stepping-stone to prepare our members for their responsibility as leaders.
